Tea at Cheesecake Farms

Whipped cream and
 fresh berry torte

A fun group of 22 Red Hat Ladies from Culpeper, Virginia visited us last week in the Garden Room for tea.

Like everything we do here at Cheesecake Farms, tea time is an extravagant array of yummy things to eat.

While most tea rooms in our area serve an English style tea, we pride ourselves in our Virginia Hunt Country tea service which is heartier and more to a southern ladies' taste.

We polish up our silver and lay out a bountiful table filled with home made cakes, tortes and other treats of the season.  The ladies from Culpeper said they had finally found heaven!!!

Our tea is served buffet style so everyone can get a taste of everything.

The center piece of our buffet is our "Tea Time Sandwich Torte"  - a layered sandwich of egg salad, tuna salad and pimento cheese frosted in cream cheese to look like a fancy cake.  Everyone asks for the recipe!

Our signature sandwich torte
it looks like a cake but it isn't
Both hot and cold house blend tea are served except during the cold time of year when we only serve our hot tea.  Fresh mint from our garden adds a refreshing taste to our pure, well water.

Tea is served by reservation to groups of 10 or more and would make a lovely fund raiser.  Please join us soon!
